The Brief
Designed while working at Suri in London. As a founding member and Head of Industrial Design, I was tasked with creating the industrial design language for all products + packaging, from ideation through manufacturing + production.
The Suri S1 is an award-winning toothbrush with plant-based heads, 40+ day battery life, a slim aluminium body, and a repairable design.
It was awarded a Red Dot 2023 Award, and was named Product Design of the Year by Dezeen.

Not only are the Suri brush heads made from cornstarch, but each component is disassembled and industrially composted at end of life.
Every customer receives a prepaid home compostable mailer bag, which they can send their used brush heads back to us for proper disposal.
Designed to be repaired.
The Suri brush body can be disassembled and each major component repaired. Almost every toothbrush you’ve ever owned still exists because they are welded shut and designed to end up in landfill.
